Once we have met you, we will depart for the Giant Lady Buddha Statue, the tallest one in Việt Nam, which is located at Linh Ung Pagoda on SơnTrà Peninsula in Đa Nang. The statue sits on the mountains facing the sea with 17 floors in the statue lặp, each floor has an altar with 21 Buddha statues which have different shapes, facial expressions and postures.
Your next stop will be the Marble Mountains, which are five marble and limestone hills named after the five elements: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. You get amazing views from the top of Marble Mountains over the city and the ocean. Your guide will help you explore the natural caves and visit the holy pagoda. You will learn out the significance of the mountains, the history behind the caves, and the religious meanings of the decorations in the caves.
About 12:00 or 12:30, we will stop for you to enjoy a delicious vietnamese set menu lunch at a great local restaurant.
Once our lunch is finished, we will transport you to Hoi An city, the World Heritage Site located along Thu Bon River. This ancient town has remained unchanged for centuries. Hoi An used to be the international trading port of Champa Kingdom where they imported and exported wood, gold, silk. At that time, Hoi An had trade fairs that attracted lots of merchants from Holland, Portugal, Japan and China to come with their goods. After the river became shallow, Da Nang replaced Hoi An in 18th century.
During the walking tour in the old town, your tour guide will take you to the Japanese bridge, a traditional house, a Chinese Assembly Hall, a cultural and historical museum and the market, and along the way will explain the history of the buildings and the different architectural styles and their significance.
Hoi An is also about shopping, so you will also have about 1 hour to explore the old town on your own andshop for those “must have” souvenirs.
On the way back to the ship, we will stop at My Khe Beach (the R&R beach where US marines landed in and stayed in during Viet Nam War) and the famous Da Nang Dragon Bridge, so you can take some beautiful photos to remind you of your visit.

We were picked up at the cruise port for a full day tour. Stopped at China beach, sure wish I had a surfboard and more time because the waves were pumping! At Marble Mountain, the guides bought the tickets and came along with us to narrate and show us the highlights. They also accompanied us into Hoi An, the old town. The tour was well organized and efficient, with good coordination between guide and driver to facilitate timely pickups. Overall, a very enjoyable trip! I will definitely use them again when I come back to go surfing!
